Talented artist and tutor Anna Wimbldon returns to Cromarty this year to run her popular three day 'en plien air' painting course.
Based in the Old Brewery but outdoors as much as weather permits, this course gives students the opportunity to really understand the versatility of oil paint and to complete a finished landscape painting over the three days. You will also learn about colour mixing and to see and fix form while being expressive in your mark making.
There will be demonstrations in the use of oil paints and plenty of one-to-one guidance from Anna. A medium-sized primed board and small primed cards will be provided.
Participants will be sent a materials list in advance, if you have an outdoor easel please bring that with you. Please let us know if you are an absolute beginner and have no materials or equipment at all.
The plan is to work outside, however, please bring in sketches and photos of a favourite scene and work from these if the weather really dosn't let us outside in beautiful Cromarty.
Lunch is provided on all three days and a warm welcome awaits in the Old Breweryif you need bed and breaksfast accommodation.
