A beginner/refreshers introduction to willow basket making.

We will be using traditional ‘stake and strand’ techniques to make a minimum of one round basket each. During the workshop you will get instruction on how to handle willow as a material and some of the creative techniques used. There will be information on the types of willow suitable for basket making , where to get it and how to grow it if you so desire!

This course is suitable for complete beginners AND those with previous experience or that have completed the one-day Introduction to Willow Weaving workshop in March. Participant numbers are small to allow plenty of individual tuition and assistance from tutor, Georgia Crook.

Please bring along a sharp sturdy hand knife and a sharp pair of secateurs.

COVID-19
All our courses are run in strict adherence to the Covid safety protocols and regulations at the time. We exercise social distancing throughout the course as well as regular sanitising, wiping down of any shared equipment between uses, strict hygiene rules throughout each venue, wearing of masks in all communal areas, temperature checking on arrival and constant monitoring of the comfort and safety of participants.  If you feel at all unwell prior to the course, please alert us and DO NOT attend.

As everyone is well aware by now, the Covid situation and subsequent government restrictions and advice can change on a daily basis.
