Inner-Tuba & Verse-Cycle - Classical Tuba meets Spoken Word
Tuba player Jon Hodkin and poet Caroline Burrows come together to present an evening of music, poetry and storytelling.
Join us for a night where two performers who independently tour by bike and trike meet to combine their music and words. The event will include poetry set to tuba pieces, as well as solo tuba pieces, standalone poems, and both performers sharing stories about their separate travels and inspirations.
Interspersed with Jon’s musical pieces performed on his tuba, will be tales of his epic 2023 journey along the entire length of the Mississippi River, USA, incorporating his love of "The 4 T's" - his Tuba, his Tricycle, his Trailer and his Travels.
Caroline’s new poems will be performed with tuba accompaniment along with some solo poems from her first published poetry collection Verse Cycles.
Tickets £10, BYOB. Book through Eventbrite link here, or save their booking fee and email us [email protected]
