Lin Anderson - Murder in your own back yard

Lin Anderson is delighted to be back in Cromarty for this year Crime & Thrillers. Lin will be talking about her new book, The Party House and discussing creating fictional worlds in your home town.

Lin is best known as the creator of the forensic scientist Rhona MacLeod series of crime thriller novels, and for her part in founding the annual Bloody Scotland crime writing festival, dedicated to promoting Scotland’s other great national export.  

Lin's Rhona MacLeod novel  Paths of the Dead was shortlisted for the 2015 Scottish Crime Book of the Year. 

Lin will be joined on stage by our spotlight author Mark Bridgeman.

After many years buried in research, Scottish based writer Mark Bridgeman released his first book, The River Runs Red, in 2019. The book became an instant success has been reprinted three times. Further best selling titles, Blood Beneath Ben Nevis and The Dark Side of the Dales followed in 2020.

In 2022 Mark was nominated for the John Bryne Writing Award as well as appearing on BBC Radio, Heartland FM, Vancouver Radio, BBC Alba, and The History Channel.
