2 - 7 October, The Stables

A six-day foundation course in STONE LETTERING led by master craftsman, Robbie Schneider.

Robbie returns for more instruction in cutting fine letters in stone and practising essential drawing and layout skills.  Each day will run from 10am - 5.00pm.  Robbie studied sculpture at Camberwell and Byam Shaw Art Schools in London and later specialised in lettering. He is a full member of Letter Exchange and of the Scottish Lettercutters Association and an elected member of the Royal British Society of Sculptors. Robbie exhibits widely and does many public and private commissions. His work can be found throughout Britain, from Kent in the South to  Shetland in the far North. Robbie works primarily in stone but he also works in wood, metals and other materials.

£495 - includes lunch each day.  All tools provided as well as a slab of stone to work on (if you wish to take this away at the end, an extra cost of £30 is charged).

Accommodation is available in the Old Brewery at a special discounted rate: £180 for six days B&B (full cooked breakfast) rather than £216, i.e. one night free!
