Sewing - Beginners Dressmaking

UNFORTUNATELY WE HAVE HAD TO CANCEL THIS CLASS,Rebecca will be back on 15/16 September for and 11/12 November for more sewing.  

Have you ever fancied making your own clothes?  Picked up a pattern but felt completely confused about where to start well this is the perfect course for you.  Suitable for people who have completed the beginners sewing class or have a basic knowledge of how to use a sewing machine. The class will give you the skills and confidence to make your own clothes from patterns in the future.

You will have the option of making the following patterns from Tilly and the buttons.  The Stevie Tunic or Top, Cleo Dungaree Dress or the Lotta Dress. You will be guided through how to copy the pattern, cut the fabric and construct the garment. 

As well as making this dress time permitting we will go through some crucial dressmaking technics like darts, invisible zips and buttonholes.

All sewing tools will be provided though you are welcome to bring your own kit too.

Sewing Machine 

You will be required to bring your own sewing machine (which can be left securely overnight within the sewing room) this allows you to learn and become familiar with your own machine. There will also be a limited amount of extra machines available if you do not have your own machine please enquire upon booking. 

All haberdashery will be supplied and you will receive your pattern (RRP £15) to take home with you to use again in the future.

You will receive details of fabric requirements as it will be best if you can go and choose something to your own taste.
