Beginners Sewing Weekend

A beginners sewing class where you make something beautiful and useful! You will complete four projects over this weekend; a cushion cover, tote bag, zippered pouch and pyjama bottoms.
Guided by the ever patient and enthusistic Rebecca the Sewist, you'll learn;
- How to thread a sewing machine and troubleshoot when it goes wrong
- How to use your sewing machine and construct a project.
- A variety of sewing techniques including hemming, French seams, topstitching, sewing a zip.
- Fabric cutting tips
- How to use a sewing pattern and measure your body.
All sewing tools will be provided though you are welcome to bring your own kit too.
Sewing Machine
Please bring your own sewing machine if you have one (it can be left securely overnight within the sewing room) this allows you to learn and become familiar with your own machine. If you do not have your own machine, please let us know and we will have one available for you.
Fabric
Fabric, patterns and haberdashery will be provided for everything except the pyjama bottoms fabric. You are required to bring 2.5m cotton fabric. Rebecca will have a small selection of 2.5m cotton suitable for pjs available for £15 each on the day Suitable for complete beginners and anyone aged 16 plus.
£125 which includes tea, coffee and everything you need for the weekend (except the 2.5m for your PJ bottoms which you can bring or choose from Rebeccas selection on the day for £15.
